A Diamond Image (FavorBonanza.com,) is a home-based Internet business located in Wappingers Falls, NY.

In early 2005, I was planning my wedding. My fiancee and I met with a local wedding planner to discuss invitations - coming to find that she also offered favors, gowns, and many other products for our event! She ran the business from her basement, part-time, and seemed to be doing very well. When we left, I told my fiancee how I thought it'd be fun to have a business like that. This got my wheels turning. I had owned other businesses in the past, but never a retail business.

Shortly thereafter, "A Diamond Image" was born - selling everything from cake tops to ribbons, bouquets, books, unity candles, favors, and everything else a bride could need - except the dress.

In 2006, my husband and I found out we were going to be parents. Due to complications in my pregnancy, I closed the business. But when our son approached his first birthday in 2007, I decided it was time to re-open (I was going stir-crazy as a stay-at-home-Mom and yearned to be back in business.)

In 2008, I turned ADiamondImage.com into my corporate site and directed customers to my other sites for products. In 2009, I decided that running multiple retail web sites was just too confusing (for myself AND my customers,) so I merged everything together on FavorBonanza.com. I also launched FavorMama.com (favors blog,) to help brides and grooms understand the wedding favors industry and learn about new products.

My enthusiasm continues to grow for the product lines and the business every day! This is the only business venture that has actually brought me happiness. Now I am excited every day to log on and add products, chat with customers, and process orders. I have the two best jobs in the world -- MOM and Business Owner.

I'm not in this business to get rich. This is more a passion than a money-maker. So rest assured, you're getting competitive pricing because I'm marking products up just enough to cover my business expenses,and buy an occasional toy for my son - but not to pay for a Mercedes or a big house.
